We received hundreds of requests asking us to review the FREE DSL Service Providers, and have recently completed our analysis of online sites providing FREE DSL Service and found in almost all cases where sites claim free DSL you get exactly what you pay for.... not very much!

Winfire.com is the most well known site offering free DSL service, only problem is the service is no longer available. When the service was available you were required to purchase a modem for $199 and then required to view a non-stop advertising bar when you used the service. The other sites we reviewed operated under the same basic model some charging more some charging less, some restricting the time you can be online and some not. None offered the speeds of service that our recommended site BlastSurf offers, none provided any level of customer service, we emailed all of them and received very few responses (and we were pretending to want to become customers).

Our analysis of this area can be summarized as follows:
It is very frustrating, filled with half promises, and not worth the effort.

Do not be misled by their 3rd ranking on this site we have received many messages from satisified Verio Customers indicating they would highly recommend them. We recommend that you check availability on their site if BlastSurf does not offer service in your area.

What are the primary benefits of DSL ?
1. Faster internet connection speeds. DSL speeds are up to 50 times faster than phone lines.
2. Instant "always on" connection. No more dialing up to connect to the internet.
3. Eliminates the need for a second phone line. Use the internet and phone at the same time.
4. Elimates the need for an Internet Service Provider (ISP) such as AOL or MSN.
5. Allows multiple PC's to connect to the internet through a single phone line.

We will continue to look for new DSL Providers but quite honestly do not expect to see a DSL deal equal to the one currently offered by BlastSurf. We also do not know how long this offer will last so we recommend you check availability soon.

Note About AOL DSL Service - We receive many request asking about AOL's DSL service, we do NOT recommend AOL DSL, quite frankly we hear nothing but complaints from people who have signed up for service months ago and still have no equipment. If you decide to go with AOL's DSL Service please do not send us complaints. The number 1 recommended site BlastSurf will work with AOL or can be used as an ISP thus allowing you to discontinue AOL, and they understand what customer service is all about.
